Roast Beef Recipe

Ingredients

  • Beef  (cut into thick strips) - 400 grams
  • Beef stock - 1000ml
  • Green peas - 200 grams
  • Garlic - 5 cloves
  • Coriander  (chopped) - 2 stalks
  • Onion (sliced) - 2 pieces
  • Fish sauce - 2 tablespoons
  • Cooking oil - 2 tablespoons

Method

  • Blend or pound garlic, chopped coriander, fish sauce and oil into paste then marinate beef for 1 hour.
  • Remove marinade from beef and fry beef in a sauce pan until both sides turn golden brown. Set aside remaining marinade for later use.
  • Add beef stock to the fried beef and bring to a boil. Return marinade mixture into the sauce and simmer with low heat until beef is cooked and tender and sauce thicken.
  • Dish out beef and half of the sauce then cook green peas and onion in the remaining sauce for 3 minutes.
  • Spread green peas over beef and serve.
