Steamed Fish With Black Bean Recipe

     Ingredients
  • Garupa (or any kind of fish) - 500 grams
  • Garlic - 6 cloves
  • Fermented black beans - 10 grams
  • Small chili (chopped) - 8 pieces
  • Oyster sauce - 1 tablespoon
  • Plum sauce - 1 tablespoon
  • Cooking wine - 1 teaspoon
  • Sugar - 1 teaspoon
  • Water - 120 ml
  • coriander (chopped) for garnish

Method

  • Heat up 1 tablespoon of cooking oil in pan and sauté garlic to fragrant.
  • Add black beans and small chili, stir-fry with high heat for 30 seconds to bring out the flavor.
  • Add water, oyster sauce, plum sauce, wine and sugar and boil for 30 seconds. Set sauce aside.
  • Steam fish with medium heat for 10 minutes then pour sauce over the fish and steam for another 3 minutes.
  • Garnish dish with coriander leaves and serve hot.
