Squid With Pasta Recipe

Ingredients
  • Squid (sliced and criss cross cut on surface) - 500 grams
  • Cooked Pasta for 3
  • Garlic (chopped) - 5 cloves
  • Chili paste - 1 tablespoon
  • Red chili - (shredded) - 2 pieces
  • Leek (sliced) - 1 stalk
  • Celery (sliced) - 1 stalk
  • Water - 150 ml

 

Seasoning

  • Light soy sauce - 3 teaspoons
  • Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
  • Sugar - 1 teaspoon
  • Cornstarch - 1 tablespoon
  • Pepper and salt to taste

Method

  • Bring 150 ml of water to boil, blanch squid slices for 1 minute then set aside. Keep stock for later use.
  • Heat up oil in pan and sauté garlic and chili paste to fragrant. Add leek, celery and stir-fry for 1 minute.
  • Mix stock and seasoning ingredients then add to dish and bring to boil.
  • Add squid and shredded chili in when sauce start to thicken.
  • Pour squid over pasta and serve hot.
