Flat-head Fish Soup Recipe

Ingredients

  • carrot - 450g
  • green turnip - 450g
  • flat-head fish - 1
  • ginger - 2 slices
  • pork ribs - 300g
  • figs - 3
  • dried tangerine peel - ¼
  • salt
  • water

Method

  • Clean and scale the fish. Stir fry the ginger and add in the fish. Gently fry and then rinse away grease with warm water.
  • Wash the pork ribs, scald in boiling water for 3 minutes.
  • Wash and peel the carrot and turnip, cut into pieces, soak the tangerine peel until it soft and wash the figs.
  • Add suitable amount of water into the tangerine peel and boil it. Then add in all ingredients and simmer for 10 minutes.
  • Reduce to low low heat and cook for another 2½ hours. Season with salt and serve.
