Fried Fish With Pineapple and Plum Sauce Recipe

Ingredients
  • Fish fillet - 400 grams
  • Rice flour - 100 grams
  • Pineapple (cubed) - 12 cubes
  • Red chili (shredded) - 2 pieces
  • Sweet peas (boiled for 3 minutes) - 100 grams
  • Cooking oil for deep-frying

Marinades (mix)

  • Egg - 1 piece
  • light soy sauce - 1 teaspoon
  • Sesame oil - few drops
  • Ginger juice - 1 teaspoon
  • Rice wine - 1 teaspoon
  • Pepper to taste

Sauce (mix)

  • Plum sauce - 4 tablespoons
  • Chili sauce - 1 tablespoon
  • Rice vinegar - 1 tablespoon
  • Sugar - 1 tablespoon
  • Salt 1 teaspoon
  • Cornstarch solution - 1 teaspoon

Method

  • Marinate fish fillet with marinades for 20 minutes
  • Coat fish fillet with rice flour and deep-fry until gold brown on both sides, drain well and set aside.
  • Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a clean pan, add sauce ingredients in and bring to boil. Add pineapple cubes and shredded chili and stir-fry for 30 seconds.
  • Spread sauce over fried fish and serve with sweet peas.
