Crabs in sour Sauce Recipe

Ingredients

  • corn starch - ½ tsp
  • water - 1 tbsp
  • green crabs - 2, about 750g
  • red chili- 1
  • Chinese parsley - 1
  • sour plums - 4
  • grated garlic - 1 tsp
  • grated ginger - ½ tsp

Seasoning

  • water - 1 tbsp
  • salt and sugar
  • corn starch - ½ tsp
  • stock - 1 cup
  • sesame oil
  • light soy sauce - 1 tsp

Method

  • Wash and mash the plums, seed and diced the chili, trim Chinese parsley.
  • Clean the crabs, chop up and pat the crab claws. Drain.
  • Sprinkle the crabs with corn starch and deep fry in hot oil, drain well.
  • Heat the 2 tbsp oil and stir fry the sour plums, ginger, red chili, garlic.
  • Pour in the crabs and add all seasoning ingredients. Cover and simmer for a while.
  • Stir in 1 tbsp water and ½ tsp corn starch.
  • Serve on a dish and garnish with Chinese parsely.
