Cornflake Prawns Recipe

Ingredients
  • King prawns (trimmed) - 600 grams
  • Cornflake - 30 grams
  • Egg yolk (lightly beaten) - 3 pieces
  • Evaporated milk - 50 ml
  • Butter - 3 tablespoons
  • Garlic (chopped) - 1 tablespoon
  • Ginger (chopped) - 1 tablespoon
  • Cooking for deep-frying
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Method

  • Marinate prawns with salt and pepper for 30 minutes, deep fry until golden brown then set aside.
  • Heat butter in a clean pan then add egg yolks, stir swiftly with a pair of chopsticks to make a strands. Remove and set aside.
  • Heat up 2 tablespoons of cooking oil in the same pan, sauté ginger and garlic to fragrant. Add evaporated milk to mix well then add prawns, egg yolk strands and conflakes.
  • Stir-fry briskly for 30 seconds and dish up.
