Catfish In Bitter Gourd Soup Recipe

Ingredients

  • bitter gourds - 375g
  • catfish - 1
  • ginger - 2 slices
  • water
  • salt
  • black salted turnip - 1 slice

Method

  • Wash and scale the fish. Clean the fish with salt to remove its slime.
  • Heat ½ tbsp oil and stir fry i slice of the ginger, add in the fish and fry until it turn brown on both sides.
  • Wash and halve the bitter gourds, remove the seeds and pith. Wash the black salted turnip and sliced.
  • Boil a suitable amount of water, pour in all ingredients and simmer for 10 minutes.
  • Reduce the heat and cook for another 2 hours. Season with salt.
  • Serve.
