Nyonya Fried Pork Recipe (Chien Bak)

Ingredients

  • Pork (belly part) - 600 grams

  • Sugar - 4 teaspoons

  • Dark soy sauce - 2 tablespoons

  • Lime juice - 2 teaspoons

  • Light soy sauce - 1 teaspoon

  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • Water 4 tablespoons

  • Cooking oil - 4 tablespoons

Method

  • Cut pork into thick slices then marinate with sugar, dark and light soy sauce, lime juice, pepper and salt for 2 hours.

  • Heat 4 tablespoons of cooking oil in wok, stir fry marinated pork with remaining marinade for 2 minutes.

  • Turn to low heat and add water to moist the dish. Stir fry for about 30 minutes until dish is dry and oil start to surface. Dish out and serve.
