Choose a fatty portion of tuna
steak. This oily, pinkish part of tuna is better for grilling and
has a good texture.
Ingredients
- tuna steak - 200g/7 oz
- lime - 1, quartered
- spring onions
For the marinate
- soy sauce - 3 tbsp
- mirin - 2 tsp
Method
- Cut the tuna into 24 cubes. Mix
the soy sauce and mirin. then pour it over the tuna and leave to
marinate for 30 minutes.
- Cut the spring onions into
length (1 inch).
- Thread the tuna and the spring
onions alternately on to 8 bamboo skewers.
- Preheat the grill to the hottest
setting and grill the tuna. Turn the tuna frequently to prevent
the tuna burning.
- Brush the tuna with the marinate
several time. Grill until the tuna is lightly cooked but still
moist inside.
- Serve the kebabs immediately
with lime wedges. Serves 4.
