Spicy Meat Fritters

Ingredients

  • Potatoes (boiled and drained) - 450 grams/1 lb
  • Lean minced beef - 450 grams/1 lb
  • Onion (cut into quarter) - 1 piece
  • Spring onions (chopped) - 1 small bunch
  • Garlic (crush) - 3 cloves
  • Ground  nutmeg -5 ml/1 teaspoon
  • Coriander seeds (dry-fried and ground) - 15 ml/1 tablespoon
  • Cumin seeds (dry-fried and ground) - 10 ml/2 teaspoon
  • eggs (beaten) - 4 pieces
  • cooking oil - 2 tablespoon
  • salt and black pepper powder to taste

Method

  • Smash the potatoes while it is still hot. Add  it into a pan together with minced meat and mix well.
  • Chopped the onions, spring onions and garlic finely and add to meat with ground nutmeg, coriander, and cumin.
  • Stir in beaten eggs to soften which can formed into fritters.  Season to taste.
  • Heat the oil in a large frying pan.  Use a dessert spoon to scoop out fritters, arrange into oval shape the pan fried for 3 minutes until golden brown. (make about 30)
  • Drain well on kitchen paper and serve while it is warm.
