This is a braised beef in dark
sauce that taste delicious with rice and gado-gado.
Ingredients
- Onions (peeled and sliced) - 2
pieces
- Ginger - 2 slices
- Garlic (chopped) - 2 cloves
- Cooking oil - 2 tablespoons
- Round steak (thinly sliced) -
800 grams
- Dark soy sauce - 1 tablespoon
- Tomato (pureed and drained) -
2 pieces
- Cloves - 2pieces
- Water - 1 cup
- Nutmeg - ½ teaspoon
- ground black pepper, sugar and
salt to taste
- Onion flakes - 1 tablespoon
Method
- Heat oil in pan, stir fry
onion, ginger and garlic to fragrant. Add beef slices and
continue to fry for 2 minutes.
- Add soy sauce, sugar and mix
well then add tomato puree, cloves, nutmeg, salt, pepper and
water then bring to boil.
- Simmer till beef is tender and
gravy is thicken, sprinkle onion flakes and serve.
