Rice Kheer

     Ingredients

  • Basmathi rice - 50 grams

  • Fresh milk - 800 ml

  • Ghee - 1 teaspoon

  • Cardamom (crushed) - 1 teaspoon

  • Evaporated milk - 160 ml

  • Sugar - 50 grams

  • Raisins - 20 grams

  • Almond (chopped) - 25 grams

  • Pistachio (chopped) - 25 grams

 

Method

  • Add ghee into sauce pan and simmer to melt. Add fresh milk and crushed cardamom then bring to boil.

  • Add rice into the mixture and simmer with low heat until rice is soft. Stir frequently to avoid bottom get burnt.

  • Add sugar, evaporated milk and raisins, continue string until mixture is thick and creamy.

  • Sprinkle with chopped almonds and pistachio. You can also garnish dish with saffron.

  • serve hot.
