Pishori Channa Recipe

     Ingredients

  • Chickpeas - 250 grams

  • Potato (boil, skinned, cubed) - 2 pieces

  • Green chili (sliced) - 2 pieces

  • Tomato - (cubed) -2 pieces

  • Tea leaves (any kind) - 1 tablespoon

  • Ginger (grated) 1 tablespoon

  • Garam masala - 2 tablespoons

  • Cumin (roasted, ground) - 1 teaspoon

  • Chili powder - 1 tablespoon

  • Mango powder - 1 teaspoon

  • Ghee - 50 grams

  • Salt to taste

     Method

  • Tied tea leaves in muslin cloth, soak chickpeas overnight and boil with tea leaves and salt until soft. Drain well and let it cool.

  • Mix boiled chickpeas, potatoes, tomatoes, green chilies, ginger, garam masala, cumin, mango powder and salt in a big bowl.

  • Heat ghee until smoking hot then pour it onto the chickpea mixture.

  • Stir well and serve with chapatti or bhatura bread.
