Gajjar Ka Halwa Recipe (Indian Carrot Pudding)

      Ingredients

  • Carrot - 300 grams

  • Fresh milk - 2 kilograms

  • Ghee - 80 grams

  • Sugar - 150 grams

  • Pistachio - 20 grams

  • Sultanas - 20 grams

  • Cashew nuts - 20 grams

  • Green Cardamom seeds - 20 grams

  • Almond - 20 grams

  • Saffron - 1 teaspoon

      Method

  • Peel and grate the carrots finely. Pour fresh milk into a large stock pan and add grated carrots.

  • Bring the carrot mixture to boil and stir constantly to mix well until some liquid evaporated.

  • Add in all other ingredients (except the ghee) and cook for another 10 minutes.

  • Heat ghee in a separate pan with high heat then add the hot ghee into the carrot mixture.

  • Stir well and the dessert is ready. Serve hot.
