This is a chicken dish cooked with
onions, garlic and ginger in a rich tomato and pepper sauce.
Ingredients
- Chicken breast - 600 grams
- Cumin seeds - 1 teaspoon
- Onion (finely chopped) - 1
piece
- Green pepper (finely chopped)
- 1 piece
- Red pepper (finely chopped) -
1 piece
- Garlic (crushed) - 1 piece
- Ginger (finely chopped) - 2
slices
- Curry paste - 15 ml
- Chili powder - ½ teaspoon
- Ground coriander - 1 teaspoon
- Ground cumin seads - 1
teaspoon
- Tomato (chopped) - 400 grams
- Fresh coriander (chopped) - 2
tablespoon
- Cooking oil 1 tablespoon
- Water - 2 tablespoons
- Salt to taste
Method
- Clean and cut chicken into
small cubes.
- Heat oil in pan and stir fry
cumin seeds for 2 minutes then add onions, peppers, garlic and
ginger fry to fragrant.
- Add curry paste and fry for 2
minutes then stir in chili powder, ground coriander, cumin, salt
and water, mix well and cook for another 1 minute.
- Add chicken and fry for a
while then add tomato and fresh coriander. Bring to boil and
simmer for 15 minutes until chicken is cooked.
- Serve with rice.
