Steam Fish With Glutinous Rice Recipe

Ingredients

  • Fish Fillet - 500 grams

  • Glutinous rice - 150 grams

  • Mushrooms (soak and squeeze dry)- 4 pieces

  • Red dates - 4 pieces

  • Ginger - 3 slices

  • Chicken stock

Marinade

  • Cooking wine - 2 teaspoons

  • Light soy sauce - 2 teaspoons

  • Pepper and salt to taste

Method

  • Cut fish fillet into serving size, pat dry and marinate for 15 minutes.

  • Rinse glutinous rice and soak for 10 minutes then drain. Transfer to a steam pot, add salt and sugar to taste. Top with fish fillet, mushrooms, ginger slices and add sufficient amount of chicken stock.

  • Cover pot and steam for 2 hours, sizzle with cooked oil and soy sauce, serve hot.
