Sparerib With Longan Soup Recipe

     Ingredients

  • Sparerib - 400 grams

  • Fresh longan - 280 grams

  • Wolfberry (qi zi) - 2 tablespoons

  • Lotus seeds - 35 grams

  • Fox nuts - 35 grams

  • Salt to taste

 

Method

  • Remove shell and seeds from longan.

  • Parboil spareribs for 2 minutes, drain and rinse.

  • Rinse wolfberry, lotus seeds and fox nuts and set aside.

  • Bring 1500 ml of water to boil and add all ingredients in. Cook with medium heat for 30 minutes and simmer with low heat for 2 hours. Add salt to taste and serve hot.
