Deep-fried Sesame Prawns Recipe

Ingredients

  • Prawns (minced) - 600 grams (medium size)

  • White sesame - 75 grams

  • Cooked fat pork (chopped finely) - 1 tablespoon

Seasoning Ingredients

  • Cornstarch - 1 tablespoon

  • Egg white - 1

  • Sugar, salt and pepper to taste

Batter Ingredients

  • Mix 1 egg white with 1 teaspoon of cornstarch

Method

  • Rinse sesame seeds well and set aside.

  • Mix minced prawns, chopped fat pork and seasoning ingredients, stir in one direction to mix well then chill for 1 hour.

  • Mould the prawn paste into a ½ inch flat piece, brush with batter and coat with sesame seeds.

  • Deep fried in warm oil until crispy and golden brown, drain and leave it to cool then cut into strips and serve with Worchester sauce.
