Pig Trotter in Black Vinegar Recipe

      Ingredients
  • pig's trotter (front leg) - 1, cut into pieces
  • eggs - 5, hard-boiled and removed shell
  • old ginger - 600g, cleaned, crushed and cut in chunks
  • water - 800ml
  • black vinegar - 400ml
  • sesame oil - 3 tbsp
  • brown sugar - 4 tbsp

 

      Method

  • Heat the wok and put the pig's trotter. Add a little salt and stir well.
  • Cover with a lid and cook the trotter dry and fragrant, then set aside.
  • Next soaked the ginger in water for 10 minutes, then dish out and drain.
  • Heat the pan, and add the sesame oil to stir-fry the ginger.
  • Add the black vinegar, brown sugar and water then bring to boil. Turn the heat low and simmer for an hour.
  • Finally, add in the egg, trotter and continue to cook until the trotter is tender.
