Hakka Home Yong Tofu Recipe

     Ingredients A

  • Bean curd (tofu) - 4 blocks

  • Garlic (chopped) - 1teaspoon

  • Shallots (chopped) - 1 tablespoon

  • Water - 500 ml

  • Cooking oil - 2 tablespoons

     Ingredients B

  • Minced pork - 250 grams

  • Fish paste - 80 grams

  • Spring onion (chopped) - 1 tablespoon

  • Soy sauce - 1 teaspoon

  • Pinch of salt

Sauce

  • Oyster sauce - 1 tablespoon

  • Corn starch solution - 2 tablespoons

  • salt, pepper and sesame oil to taste

Method

  • Mix all ingredients B in a big bowl and set aside for 30 minutes.

  • Halved the tofu, make a cut in the center and stuff the meat mixture.

  • Heat cooking oil in wok, stir-fry chopped garlic and shallots to fragrant. Add water in and bring to boil then carefully add tofu in and cook for 10 minutes.

  • Add sauce in and thicken with cornstarch solution. Serve hot.
