Dried Bamboo Shoots With Trotter Recipe

 

 

     Ingredients

  • Dried bamboo shoots - 800 grams

  • Roasted pig trotter (chopped into bite size) - 1 piece

  • Chicken feet - 20 pieces

  • Garlic (chopped) - 20 pieces

  • Oyster sauce - 4 tablespoons

  • Salt to taste

 

      Method

  • To cook this dish, you have to treat the dried bamboo shoots first. Soak the dried bamboo shoots in water for 3 days (have to change water everyday to keep the water clean).

  • After 3 days of soaking, boil the dried bamboo shoots with water and soak for another day. Discard the skin and cut soften bamboo shoots into thin slices.

  • Heat up 3 tablespoons of cooking oil and sir-fry garlic and bamboo shoots slices until aromatic.

  • Transfer dish into a deep sauce pot, add chicken feet and trotter in, bring to boil with 800 ml of water.

  • Simmer with low heat until dish is soft and tender.

  • Add salt to taste and serve hot.
