Sweet And Sour Pork Recipe

Ingredients

  • Pork (tenderloin) - 300 grams
  • Onions (sliced) - 1 piece
  • green pepper (sliced) - 1 piece
  • Red chili (sliced) - 1 piece
  • Cucumber (sliced) - ½ piece
  • Soy sauce - 1 tablespoon
  • pepper powder - ¼ teaspoon
  • tomato sauce - 2 tablespoons
  • vinegar - 1 tablespoon
  • Sugar - 2 tablespoons
  • water - ½ cup
  • Cooking oil - For deep frying
  • Cornstarch - 3 tablespoons
  • Cornstarch solution - 2 tablespoons

Method

  • Cut pork into ½ inch thickness and 1 inch square and season with soy sauce, pepper, and tomato sauce for  20 minutes.
  • Coated pork with cornstarch and deep-fry in hot oil until golden color then drained and set aside.
  • Keep about 2 tablespoons of cooking in pan and stir-fry onions, green pepper, chili and cucumber for 1 minute then add vinegar, sugar and water and bring to boil.
  • Thicken gravy with cornstarch solution and add pork in . Cook for another minute and dish is ready to serve.
