Stew Pork Leg with Spices Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 Pork legs split into 2

  • garlic (5 cloves)

  • star anise (3 pieces)

  • cloves (2 pieces)

  • cinnamon stick (1 piece)

  • dried chili (3 Pieces)

  • black soy sauce (three table spoon)

  • light soy sauce (2 table spoon)

  • sugar (2 tea spoon)

  • dried cuttlefish

  • dried mushroom (soak in water to soften)

  • water (measure to cover pork leg)

  • oyster sauce (2 tea spoon)

Method

  • mix sugar, black and  light soy sauce well with water

  • add pork leg, garlic, star anise, cloves, cinnamon stick, dried chili. dried cuttlefish, mushroom and bring to boil

  • turn to low heat and simmer for 1-1/2 hour

  • take out pork leg and leave it to cool

  • remove bones and cut pork leg into bite size, arrange on a plate

  • add oyster sauce and salt to taste in remain gravy

  • spread gravy on pork leg and serve

       (To save time, use of  Pressure Cooker, Sauce Pan is also recommended)
