Roast Beef In Portuguese Sauce Recipe

Ingredients

  • Fillet steak - 380 grams
  • Onion - 1 piece
  • Green pepper - 1 piece
  • Red Pepper - 1 piece
  • Cooking wine - 2 teaspoons
  • Cooking oil - 3 tablespoon
  • Light soy sauce - 2 teaspoons
  • Dark soy sauce - ½ teaspoon
  • Sugar - 1 teaspoon
  • Sesame oil - few drops
  • Egg - ½
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Coconut juice - 4 tablespoons
  • Evaporated milk - 4 tablespoons
  • Cornstarch solution - 2 tablespoons

Method

  • Clean and wipe dry fillet steak then cut into thin slices. Marinate with sugar, sesame oil, egg, salt, pepper, dark and light soy sauce for 30 minutes.
  • Deep fry in warm oil and set aside. for further use.
  • Diced onion, red and green pepper then stir fry in heated oil for 1 minutes then sprinkle cooking wine.
  • Add coconut juice, evaporated milk, cornstarch solution, salt and pepper to taste and bring to boil.
  • Add fillet steak, stir well for 1 minute and serve
