Ingredients
- chicken - 1.5 Kg
- corn flour - 2 tea spoon
- fresh ginger (sliced)
- honey - 2 tablespoons
- soy sauce - 2 teaspoons
- water - half cup
- Chinese chili sauce - 1
tablespoons
- lemon juice - 1/3 cup
- shallots - 6
Method
- cut chicken into bite size.
- season chicken with salt, soy
sauce and coat chicken lightly with corn flour.
- deep-fried chicken until
golden brown and cooked.
- remove and drain on absorbent
paper.
- pour off excess oil and leave
1 tablespoon of oil in pan.
- add peeled and sliced fresh
ginger, stir gently for 1 minute.
- add honey and stir for 1
minute.
- add corn flour water, chili
sauce, lemon juice and soy sauce.
- stir until sauce boils and
thickens.
- add chicken toss in sauce for
3 minute, then add sliced shallots.
- simmer for further 1 minute
and ready to serve.
