Ingredients
- fillet steak in one piece -
500 grams (about 1 lb)
- corn flour - 2 teaspoons
- soy sauce - 1 teaspoon
- cooking oil - 2 teaspoons
- fresh ginger - 130 grams (4
oz)
- white vinegar - 2 tablespoons
- sugar - 2 teaspoons
- salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- extra cooking oil - 2
tablespoons
- green pepper - 1 piece
- shallots - 6 pieces
- red chili - 1 piece
Method
- trim all fat and cut meat into
5mm(1/4 in) slices.
- marinate sliced meat with corn
flour, oil and soy sauce for 20 minutes.
- clean, peel and slice thinly
slice fresh ginger, together with vinegar, sugar and salt in
separate bowl, marinate for 20 minutes.
- heat extra oil in pan, add
meat slices in and gradually brown both sides of meat.
- stir for a while until meat is
cook and tender then remove from pan.
- add ginger with liquid
together with chop green pepper and shallots and stir-fry for 1
minute.
- return meat to pan, continue
stir-fry until sauce stick to meat
- garnish with thinly slice
chili and ready (serves 4).
