This quick and easy stir-fry
beef is perfect
for today's busy cook and tastes superb with noodle. |

Ingredients

loin steak - 350g, sliced into
strips

corn flour - 1 tbsp

red and yellow pepper - one for each,
seeded and sliced

garlic - 1 clove, chopped
-
medium sherry - 2 tbsp
-
oyster sauce - 2 tbsp
-
spring onions - 4, cut into 5cm length
-
soy sauce - 2 tbsp
-
sugar snap peas - 115g
-
water - 4 tbsp
-
fresh root ginger - 1 tbsp, grated

oil - 1 tbsp
-
sesame oil - 1 tbsp
-
brown sugar - 1tsp
-
cooked noodles - to serve

Method

Mix the steak strips, sherry, corn
flour, soy sauce and brown sugar together. Cover. Marinate for
30 minutes.

Heat the sunflower and sesame oils
in a large frying pan, add the ginger and garlic, then stir-fry
for about 30 seconds.

Add in spring onion, peas, and
peppers, stir-fry for 3 minutes.

Add the beef, together with the
marinate juices into the pan, stir fry for further 3-4 minutes.

Pour in water and oyster sauce,
stir until the sauce has thickened slightly.

Serve immediately with cooked
noodles. Serves 4.
