Fried Beef With Noodle Recipe

This quick and easy stir-fry  beef is perfect for today's busy cook and tastes superb with  noodle.
 

      Ingredients

  • loin steak - 350g, sliced into strips

  • corn flour - 1 tbsp

  • red and yellow pepper - one for each, seeded and sliced

  • garlic - 1 clove, chopped

  • medium sherry - 2 tbsp

  • oyster sauce - 2 tbsp

  • spring onions - 4, cut into 5cm length

  • soy sauce - 2 tbsp

  • sugar snap peas - 115g

  • water - 4 tbsp

  • fresh root ginger - 1 tbsp, grated

  • oil - 1 tbsp

  • sesame oil - 1 tbsp

  • brown sugar - 1tsp

  • cooked noodles - to serve

      Method

  • Mix the steak strips, sherry, corn flour, soy sauce and brown sugar together. Cover. Marinate for 30 minutes.

  • Heat the sunflower and sesame oils in a large frying pan, add the ginger and garlic, then stir-fry for about 30 seconds.

  • Add in spring onion, peas, and peppers, stir-fry for 3 minutes.

  • Add the beef, together with the marinate juices into the pan, stir fry for further 3-4 minutes.

  • Pour in water and oyster sauce, stir until the sauce has thickened slightly.

  • Serve immediately with cooked noodles. Serves 4.
