Fried Bean Curd with Bamboo Shoots Recipe

Ingredients

  • Bean Curd (sliced)- 2 cakes
  • Dried mushrooms (soaked and shredded) - 3 pieces
  • Bamboo shoots (sliced)-80 grams
  • Snow peas - 40 grams
  • Ginger - 3 slices
  • Spring onions - 1 stalk
  • Red chili (shredded) - 2 pieces
  • Spicy bean paste - 1 tablespoon
  • Lean pork (cut into strips) - 200 grams
  • Cooking oil -3 tablespoons
  • Soy sauce - 1 tablespoon
  • Sugar - 1 teaspoon
  • Cooking wine - 1 tablespoon
  • Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
  • Corn starch - ½ tablespoon
  • Water - 1 tablespoon

Method

  • Fry bean curd in heated cooking oil until golden brown and set aside.
  • Add ginger, mushrooms, snow peas, lean pork and bamboo shoots and stir-fry for 3 minutes.
  • Add spicy bean sauce, spring onions and shredded chili and continue frying.
  • Add well stirred soy sauce, sugar cooking wine, sesame oil cornstarch, water and bean curd in and cook until the gravy thickens.
  • serve while hot.
