Ingredients
- Fish fillet - 400 grams
- Cornstarch - 6 tablespoons
- Cooking oil - 1 cup
- Onion (sliced) - 1 piece
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Sugar - 3 tablespoons
- Vinegar - 2 tablespoons
- cornstarch solution - ½ cup
- Tomato sauce - 3 tablespoons
Method
- Season fish with salt and
pepper for 10 minutes then coated the fish with
cornstarch.
- Deep-fry fish in cooking oil
until golden brown , drained and set aside.
- Keep 2 tablespoons of cooking
oil in pan and add onions, sugar, vinegar, tomato sauce
and stir-fry for 2 minute then add in cornstarch solution.
- When the gravy thickens,
spread over the deep-fried fish and serve while hot.
