Cinnamon

Cinnamon is a common name of a bushy evergreen tree of the laurel family and for the spice, it is made from its dried bark. There is a particular season for peeling at the bark. Native to Sri Lanka, the Malabar Coast of India, and Myanmar it is cultivated in many other tropical countries. Cinnamon is light brown in color and has a delicately fragrant aroma and sweet in flavor.

Usage: To flavor a varieties of food, from confections to curries. In pharmaceuticals, liquors, cosmetics and perfumery.
