Ingredients

Beef (sliced thinly) - 250

Onion - 1 piece

Cinnamon stick - 1 piece

Coriander powder (toasted) - 1

Nutmeg powder - 1 teaspoon

Carrot (diced) - 1 piece

Beef stock powder - 1

Rice (rinsed) -200 grams

Water - 2 liters

Chinese celery (chopped
finely) - 1 cup

Cooking oil - 3 tablespoons

Fried chopped shallots - 1 cup

Pepper and salt to taste

Method

Heat oil in a deep sauce pan then
add sliced onion and stir-fry for a while. Add other spices in
and sauté to fragrant.

Add 2 liters of water in and bring
to boil. Add rice, beef, carrots and let it boil for another 5
minutes then simmer with low heat for 30 minutes.

When rice and beef become soft,
add beef stock powder and season with pepper and salt.

Garnish porridge with chopped
celery and fried shallots and serve hot.
